Menstrual Health at Work: The Champion’s Role is a comprehensive digital course designed specifically for Menstrual Health Champions, giving them the knowledge, confidence and practical tools to become a trusted source of support within their workplace. The course combines essential menstrual health knowledge with a clear understanding of the Champion role — helping participants build trust, challenge stigma, signpost effectively and contribute to a workplace where colleagues feel informed, supported and able to talk openly about menstrual health.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain why menstrual health matters in the workplace and the role Champions play in creating positive cultural change
  • Describe the role and responsibilities of a Menstrual Health Champion — including what a Champion should and should not do
  • Explain the menstrual cycle, its four phases and the potential effects of hormonal changes on physical, emotional and cognitive wellbeing
  • Recognise common menstrual health symptoms and identify when symptoms may go beyond what is typically experienced
  • Demonstrate awareness of related experiences including fertility challenges and pregnancy loss
  • Recognise the diverse ways people experience menstrual health and avoid assumptions or a one-size-fits-all approach
  • Challenge stigma, normalise conversations and act as a visible ally for menstrual health within the workplace
